Elisabeth Moore, DVM, Fear Free Certified
Veterinarian
Dr. Elisabeth (Lissa) Moore was born and raised in Colorado Springs, CO. She received her B.A. in Molecular, Cellular, and Developmental Biology from the University of Colorado at Boulder. Ironically, it wasn’t until she left home for college and lived without pets on a daily basis that she realized how important the human-animal bond was to her, and she decided to pursue a career in veterinary medicine. Upon graduating from CU Boulder, she spent a few years working as a veterinary assistant then she continued her education at Colorado State University. Dr. Moore received her M.S. in Biomedical Sciences and her DVM degree from Colorado State University.
Dr. Moore is passionate about helping owners foster their bond with their pets. As an owner of a dog that struggles with visits to veterinarian, Dr. Moore is sympathetic to the struggles these pets and owners experience at the clinic. As a result, she is motivated to create a low-stress environment for her patients to help provide a better experience for both her patients and their owners. She has received her “Fear Free” professional certification. Dr. Moore’s other interests in veterinary medicine include dentistry and internal medicine.
Outside of veterinary medicine, Dr. Moore enjoys spending time outside in Colorado hiking, playing soccer, reading, and spending time with her dog, Enzo. Enzo is a Shih Tzu whose antics include climbing anything he can (kitchen tables, countertops, retaining walls, boulders, etc.), and attempting to befriend any cat he can find.
