Less Stressful Vet Visits? Yes!

October 2, 2020

At Briargate Boulevard Animal Hospital, we believe in using Fear Free protocols and using the least invasive treatments possible when we can. These strategies—things like the use of pheromones, species-specific handling, non-slip surfaces and high-value treats—make a significant difference in how pets react at vet visits. That results in less anxiety for everyone and more effective examinations and treatments. But don’t take our word for it—here’s what our clients are saying:

Dr. Bond and her team…treat our furry babies like their own! The medical care our pets receive is top notch, plus they keep a healthy supply of cheese, peanut butter, and other treats to ensure that your dog or cat will not just feel comfortable, but actually enjoy their visit. We’ve been taking our pets here for years, and we’ll never go anywhere else. Highly recommended!” – Stefan Born

“My babygirl Peyton is almost 13 now and hasn’t always had the easiest dog life. It’s fair to say the vet isn’t her favorite place and she gets very anxious and upset when we pull into the parking lot. Katie [veterinary technician] comes out to my SUV and we are able to alleviate Peyton’s stress by doing toenail trims there and not introducing her to the stress of the actual office. This last visit, Peyton needed blood work and Katie handled that outside as well. Katie and her helpers have been amazing and really helped me improve my elderly dog’s quality of life. I also appreciate Dr. Bond being willing to think outside the box with both my dogs. If you haven’t considered Briargate Boulevard Animal Hospital, you should.” – Kelly Hovey

We’re thrilled to know that these extra efforts have such a positive impact on the well-being of our patients. Most of our team is Fear Free-certified and the rest of the staff is committed to achieving certification as well. Click here to read more about the Fear Free philosophy or give us a call with your questions at (719) 528-5557.
