Aly, CVMA CVA, RVT, CVT and Hospital Manager
Aly was born and raised in Southern California and has worked in veterinary medicine since 2007. She loves educating clients, learning about new techniques in her field and has a passion for leading and helping other technicians reach their goals. When she isn’t at the hospital you might find Aly hiking or mountain biking with her husband.
Aly shares her life with her husband, son and three dogs – Penny, Sasha and Gracie.
Katie, CVT and Veterinary Assistant Supervisor
Katie was born and raised in Colorado Springs, CO. Like any Colorado native she enjoys being outside hiking and camping with her husband. She also enjoys taking pictures, most of her dogs. In the winter Katie likes to scrapbook, rock climb and participates in hot yoga. Katie has wanted to work with animals since she was in 1st grade. She has always had a passion to help animals live long, happy lives.
Her first job was at a kennel when she was 16. Katie loved seeing all the different kinds of dogs. She has always had a dog growing up. Katie’s favorite quote is “Dogs are not our whole life, but they make our life whole.” Katie graduated from PIMA Medical Institute in November of 2013. Since then she has worked in general practice as well as ER as a vet tech. Katie became “Fear Free” certified in January 2017. She is very happy to happy to be at Briargate Blvd Animal Hospital because the staff is very kind and caring towards your pets. They treat every client and patient like family.
Carmelita, Lead Client Care Specialist
Carmelita is a California Native, originating from the Bay Area. In 2015, Carmelita, her husband, and Tron their 4-legged baby, decided they needed a change from big city living to re-locate somewhere more fit to starting a family. They very happily now call Colorado their forever home and are very excited for the future here.
Carmelita knew the veterinary field was her calling from a young age. She volunteered at a veterinary hospital at as a teenager and has been in love with the profession ever since. She did some assisting and reception work as her first role in a veterinary hospital and loved being able to help out wherever needed. Now, many years later, she is happy to be able to share her years of experience with the BBAH team where she started back in 2016.
Tabor, Client Care Specialist
Tabor is originally from Maine. She is a Navy “Brat” and has lived all over the east coast. She moved to Colorado when she was 7 years old. She graduated from Bel-Rea Institute of Animal Technology in 2005. She worked as a technician until 2012. She then shifted gears and worked as a pharmacy technician for about 4 years before returning to veterinary medicine as a Client Care Specialist. She has been with Briargate Boulevard Animal Hospital for over a year now and feels that she works with the best team! She is honored to be here and hopes to be a team member for years to come.
Ashley, Client Care Specialist
Ashley just recently transplanted from Sacramento, California to pursue a better life with her husband and fur family. Her love for the veterinary field started when she began working at a large and small animal clinic while going to college. After a couple years, she switched to animal emergency medicine where she was an ER ICU nurse for the last 5 years.
On her off time, Ashley loves to do anything outdoors with her husband their rescue dog Colt. They spend most of their time fishing, hiking, camping, and anything they can do outside! But they do love to get wrapped up in a good Netflix binge while cuddled up on the couch with the cats and dog.
Ashley is excited for her next journey working with client care and providing the best experience to fur babies and their parents!
Mollie, Client Care Specialist
Mollie is an East Coast native now enjoying life in Colorado! Mollie graduated with a bachelor’s degree in biology from Berry College in Rome, GA. She began her professional career with large exotic animals and spent a number of years working with big cats. Mollie started working in a veterinary office in 2013 after moving to Ohio. That was when she “rediscovered” her love for domestic animals and helping owners do what is best for their furry family members.
Mollie also got involved with Speak! For The Unspoken, a rescue specializing in dogs with disabilities. She loves fostering and giving these special dogs the second chance they deserve. In her free time, Mollie enjoys hiking, kayaking, and going on adventures with her husband and 4 dogs Leo, Lyla, Tink, and Uki.
Autumn, Client Care Specialist
Autumn is a Colorado Native and is currently a biology major in college. She has always been interested in biological sciences, and has always loved animals. After working during school breaks as a receptionist at an animal hospital, she decided that veterinary medicine would be a cool avenue to take in her continued learning. She also does not own pets, so she loves to get her fill of cute fur babies while on the job!
Debbie, LVT, CVT
Debbie is originally from Pennsylvania and began her career as a veterinary technician in 2002. She has continued her passion for caring for animals in several states while moving as part of a military family. She is Fear Free Certified and treats all of her patients as a member of the extended family. Debbie is a Pittsburgh Steelers fan, enjoys the outdoors and loves spending time with her husband and four fur babies, which include two dogs, Hobbs and Maybe, and two cats, Vada and Norman.

Magdalena, Veterinary Technician
Magda is originally from Illinois, and moved to Colorado in 2013. She is Fear Free certified, and currently lives in Colorado Springs with her Samoyed mix, Wolf, and her Persian cat, Mustache.
In 2009, Magda realized her heart felt the fullest in the animal field, when she began her career at an animal shelter treating the sick, after her German Shepherd, Dakota, passed away from nasal lymphoma. That was all it took for Magda to want to continue to learn as much knowledge and skill as she could to do her part to help families keep their wonderful furry best friends by their side for as long as possible. Since then, Magda has worked at different animal hospitals and animal shelters in Illinois and Colorado, and feels lucky to be in a field that takes up so much room in her heart.
Lacey, Veterinary Technician
Lacey is a Florida native who ventured to Colorado Springs, Co to grow her education & skills in the veterinary field. She has always known she’s wanted to work with animals since she was 7 but started her journey, and love for the field, when she started at a privately owned clinic in central Florida in 2016, where she worked for 4 years. Recently she joined the BBAH team to expand her knowledge. When she’s not at work, she loves to spend time with her family and two dogs, hiking, going to the gym, and exploring.
Olivia, Veterinary Assistant
Olivia is a Colorado Springs native and graduated the Veterinary Assistant Program from PIMA medical institute in August of 2018. She has always had a love for animals and medicine. When Olivia isn’t at work, she enjoys hiking, camping, fishing and drawing. Olivia has a passion for cacti and aloe Vera plants.
Olivia has a Min Pin named Tilly that loves to join her on hiking and camping trips.
RJ, Veterinary Assistant
My name is Rogelio Balquin, but I go by RJ because it’s easier to remember and say. I graduated from Colorado State University-Pueblo with a Bachelors in Biology with and minor in Chemistry. Although I went to school for a different reason, coming into this field I have found my true calling. This is an area I never thought I would find myself in, but here I am, and I love every moment of it. Caring for animals has been a piece of my life I always held dear to me and now I get the opportunity to pursue this side of my life.
